Re: Jackie Peebles
Special Discoveries & Parents as Teachers
Jackie Peebles has been a tutor and advocate to my son Erik for several years. During that time, she has also become a dear friend who is genuine, supportive, humorous, and faithful. In a time of need, she is always available.
As an advocate, Jackie is 1000% committed to her clients and their families. She is knowledgeable, tireless, professional, patient, diplomatic, reliable, and determined. She is well-known and highly respected within the community of her profession. She is known to be up before daybreak studying and reviewing legislation pertinent to her clients rights, never leaving parents at a disadvantage when negotiating their childs services.
Jackie is also a gifted poet and author. Her work focuses, again, on people with special needs, and her mission is to alleviate the fears of the general public produced by lack of education regarding people with disabilities. Her agenda is purely good.
In every aspect, Jackie Peebles is top drawer.

To whom it may concern,
We would like to show our appreciation for Jackie Peebles, Special Discoveries and the P.A.T. (Parents as Teachers) program. Jackie Peebles has been an advocate for our family ever since we met her almost five (5) years ago. She has helped us through many challenging situations regarding our "special needs" child, and has made our life better just knowing her. The P.A.T. program and the Special Discoveries school have been a great success for us, and we will be forever grateful to Jackie and the programs that she offers.
Almost five (5) years ago, our son, Benjamin, was diagnosed with S.P.D. (Semantic Pragmatic Disorder) and we were told he had "low-level" autism. We were enrolled with the P.A.T. program at the time, and we were referred to Jackie as someone who could help us. Jackie came to our house to meet Benjamin, and we were immediately comforted by her presence. Jackie opened our eyes to many resources that were available to us. Benjamin started occupational therapy and speech therapy based upon Jackie's recommendation. He made unbelievable progress with the therapy, the P.A.T. program, and some time spent at Jackie's Special Discoveries school. A testament to Jackie's success is the fact that Benjamin is now enrolled at Valley of Enchantment Elementary School and is in the 2nd grade. He is doing very well, and we have Jackie Peebles to thank for a great deal of that success.
As our advocate, Jackie has been instrumental in getting our son the education and resources that he needs. She has always been there for our family, and we are always amazed by her consistency and determination in helping children with "special needs." Jackie Peebles and the programs that she supports deserve all the recognition we can give her, and I hope she is able to help many other families like ours.
Sincerely,
Stewart & Christine Reeves
