Special Discoveries Educational Services, Inc. is dedicated to providing learning strategies for all families that want to strengthen their childs learning capabilities.
History
Special Discoveries Educational Services, Inc. was founded in 2002 by Jacquelynn Peebles MA. Ed. to provide various educational programs and services to families with children ages 0 to 18 years of age.
The majority of services are geared towards the children who are at risk for developmental delays. These families often encounter difficulties navigating the education process to obtain the necessary programs through their local school districts. We provide advocacy service to these parents to help make the process more successful for parents, child, and the school district.
Our agency offers developmental screenings and referrals to other agencies that will provide additional professional programs to help the child reach their developmental milestones.
We also started the Parent Participation School Readiness Program for children at the preschool ages from 3 to 5 years old. Parents learn what to do with their child to get them ready for their formal school training. The program is offered in English and Spanish.
We are now partners with Head Start of San Bernardino.We offer in-home programs at no cost to families with children ages 0-3 and 3 - 5 years of age. There are socializations twice a month for parents and children to come together and play, learn, and have fun. We also offer the in-home Parents as Teachers program at no cost to families for those who did not qualify for the Head Start programs.
